On June 1st, the 2026 China Road Cycling League (Liquan, Shaanxi Station) successfully came to an end.The event lasted for five days.A total of 21 representative teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Yunnan, Liaoning, etc., as well as individual cyclists signed up for the competition.The event included individual time trials, mixed team time trials, urban circuit elimination races, and individual races.It presented a series of exciting road cycling feasts for the national audience.
The events on this website are hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau, and the People’s Government of Xianyang City.They are organized by the Xianyang Sports Bureau, the Communist Party Committee of Liquan County, the People’s Government of Liquan County, and the Shaanxi Provincial Aviation, Radio, Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Management Center, implemented by the Liquan County Sports Activity Center, and operated by Wan Hongfei (Beijing) Sports Culture Co., Ltd.
At 8:20 a.m. on May 30th, a grand opening ceremony was held at the Square of the Cultural and Sports Functional Area in the east of Liquan County. Sun Weimin, the President of the Chinese Cycling Association, Yang Wen, the Second – level Inspector of the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau,Li Hualin, the Vice – Mayor of the Xianyang Municipal People’s Government,Ma Junzheng, the Party Branch Secretary and Director of the Shaanxi Provincial Aviation, Radio, Automobile and Motorcycle Sports Management Center, Liu Jie, the Party Secretary and Director of the Xianyang Municipal Sports Bureau, Yao Junfeng, the Secretary of the Liquan County Party Committee, Wu Yunfeng, the Deputy Secretary of the Liquan County Party Committee and the County Magistrate, and Tang Xuezhong, the General Manager of Wan Hongfei (Beijing) Sports Culture Co., Ltd.attended the opening ceremony and sounded the horn to start the race.
On the first competition day, the men’s and women’s individual time trials were held respectively. The starting and finishing points of both events were set at the Liquan Tourist Service Center. The men’s race was 40 kilometers long, while the women’s race was 31 kilometers long.
Finally, Qu Chengjunfrom the Heilongjiang teamwon the men’s individual time trial championship. Li Shidong from the Tianjin Feige Bicycle Team and Shen Yutao from the Jilin team took the second and third places respectively. In the women’s individual time trial, Tang Xin from the Yunnan team won the championship. Chen Si from the Henan Badi Rui Bicycle Team and Dong Haixin from the Heilongjiang team took the second and third places respectively.
On the second competition day, it was the mixed team time trial.Henan Badiru Bicycle Teamwon the championship of the mixed team time trial again with a result of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 24 seconds.Hunan Teamwon the second place, and Yunnan Team won the third place.
On the third competition day, the men’s and women’s urban circuit elimination races were held.Both the starting and finishing points were set atthe east gate of Liquan Gymnasium. In the men’s urban circuit elimination race, Gao Xiangtai from Tianjin Feige Cycling Team won the championship by defeating the main peloton by one second.Hu Haijie from Yunnan Team and Li Bo’an from Henan Badirui Cycling Team took the second and third places respectively.
In the women’s urban circuit elimination race,the race ultimately determined the winner through a mass sprint. Chen Sining from the Liaoning team stood out in the sprint and won thechampionship. Li Rong from the Inner Mongolia team and Tang Xin from the Yunnan team won the second and third places respectively.
On the fourth competition day, the men’s individual race, which is the longest and most challenging event in this stage of the tournament, took place.Shen Yutao from Jilin Teamcrossed the finish line first in the sprint of the leading two – rider group and won the championship.Li You from Guangdong Team followed closely behind and won the second place. Liu Yize from Liaoning Teamlaunched an attack in the second group and successfully held on to the finish line, winning the third place.
On the fifth competition day, the final battle – the women’s individual race – arrived.In the last lap of the race, Zhang Hao from the Hainan Team caught up with Chen Si, a cyclist from the Henan Team who was in the lead, alone. The two engaged in a fierce sprint before the finish line.Finally, Chen Si from the Henan Badiru Bicycle Team crossed the finish line first to win the championship. Zhang Hao from the Hainan Team followed closely behind and won the second place. Wang Shengning from the Inner Mongolia Team launched an attack in the second group and crossed the finish line alone to win the third place.
The events on this website adhere to the concept of “using events to build the city, develop industries, and benefit the people”. It deeply integrates national-level sports events with rural tourism, fruit industry, and the city brand in Liquan. Two characteristic brands, “Cycling in Liquan, Traveling through the Tang Dynasty” and “Leaving the City, Going to Liquan on Weekends”, have been successfully established, achieving a win – win situation for sports events, cultural tourism, urban development, and people’s well – being.
In 2026, the China Road Cycling League will successively land in Kangping, Shenyang, and Ordos, Inner Mongolia (the finals). It will continue to use professional competitions as a carrier to spread cycling culture and showcase the scenery of Chinese cities. We look forward to all cyclists achieving even better results in the subsequent competitions and writing a new chapter in Chinese road cycling.
