June 1st, the 2026 China Professional Road Cycling League (Bosten Lake Station) and the First China West Sea · Bosten Lake Cycling Tour kicked off. This event combines the top domestic men’s professional road cycling league with a cycling festival for the general public. By the Bosten Lake, known as the “China West Sea”, it has successfully created a cycling feast that integrates competitive leadership, extensive public participation, and in – depth integration of sports, culture, and tourism. Meanwhile, it is also another masterpiece of Bazhou in deepening the integrated development of “sports + tourism” and actively “attracting competitions into the prefecture”.

The event is jointly hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, the Sports Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the People’s Government of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture. It is organized by units such as the Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and the People’s Government of Bohu County, and operated by Zhongao Sports Development Group Co., Ltd. Athletes fromall over the country, including17 professional cycling teams with 127 athletes, andhundreds of amateur cycling enthusiasts gathered here, riding against the wind and jointly depicting a dynamic and magnificent picture with their wheels.

Ye Hai, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Sports Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Xiong Xin, Secretary-General of the Chinese Cycling Association; Qiu Jianhui, Deputy Governor of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Huo Chunjiang, Director of the Competitive Sports Department of the Sports Bureau of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Shan Jiafu, Deputy Secretary and Director of the Party Group of the Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture; Qu Lusha, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor of Bohu County; Mingjier, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor of Heshuo County; and Wan Lihua, Co-President of Zhongao Sports Development Group, attended the opening ceremony and sounded the horn to start the race.

The races on this site take place in the magnificent landscape of “half lake, half desert”.The track is 202.6 kilometers long, running along the road around Bosten Lake. Cyclists pass through wetlands, skim over the blue waves, and gaze at the golden sands during the ride, enjoying the ever-changing and wonderful scenery. After the fierce competition on the环湖赛道 (Around-the-Lake Track),ROTOR Chengdu Continental Team won the first place in the team standings of this stage. Huansheng – VONOA – Taishan Sports Continental Team ranked second, and Shenzhen KUNG Gong Continental Cycling Team took the third place in the team standings.

Synchronized with professional events, the first “China’s West Sea · Around Bosten Lake Cycling and Sightseeing Conference” was also grandly held. The conference set up the Men’s Road Elite Group, the Men’s Road Open Group, the Women’s Road Open Group, and the Mass Cycling and Sightseeing Group, attracting cycling enthusiasts and families from all over the country to participate. This is not only a vivid practice of Bazhou in widely holding mass sports events and creating a “fitness circle at the doorstep”, but also a way to expand the influence of professional events and create a new cultural and tourism consumption scenario of “one person participates in the event, and the whole family travels”, transforming the “high traffic” of the event into “high energy” for urban development.

Ride with the wind and promote the city through competitions. The successful hosting of the 2026 China Professional Road Cycling League (Bosten Lake Station) not only improved the national map of the China Professional Road Cycling League in the northwest region. Moreover, with bicycles as a medium, it showcased the ecological beauty of Bosten Lake, the cultural charm of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, and the development vitality of Xinjiang to the whole country and even the world. In the future,Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture will continue to rely on the vast and magnificent scenery of the “First Prefecture in China” and the ecological charm of the “West China Sea · Bosten Lake”. It will actively strive to host a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities at the national and autonomous region levels, and deeply cultivate multiplebrand events to attract more people to “travel with the events” and feel the infinite charm of the magnificent Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture.
