On May 17th, the 4th “Cycling Traces in Qianxia, Seeking Wisdom from Liu Bowen” Lake – Circling Cycling Race of the “Geely Galaxy” Cup in 2026, as well as the Qianxia Lake Station of the Cycling Race around Zhejiang® successfully concluded in Qingtian, Lishui. Leaders from relevant departments in Qingtian, Wencheng, and Jingning attended the opening ceremony of the event and jointly sounded the horn to start the race. The total distance of this event is 123 kilometers. The race track spans and connects four major townships, namely Beishan Town and Wanfu Township in Qingtian County, Lishui, Nantian Town in Wencheng County, Wenzhou, and Jiulong Township in Jingning County, Lishui, integrating the cultural and tourist resources of Lishui and Wenzhou. The event innovatively adopts a dual-track model of “36 kilometers of professional competition ranking + 87 kilometers of leisure cycling challenge”, taking into account both professionalism and public participation.
The first 36-kilometer competitive race route has variable road conditions, frequent undulations, and consecutive climbs, which is extremely challenging. It precisely tests the explosive power, endurance, and bike control skills of professional riders, providing an excellent competitive stage for professional athletes. The latter 87-kilometer cycling tour route boasts beautiful scenery. The magnificent fjords have vast expanse of blue waves, and the precipitous hanging cliffs are beside the mountains and waters. The overlapping mountains and the lakeside scenery complement each other, presenting a different view at every step. The route passes through Wencheng Nantian Town, the hometown of Liu Bowen. One day before the opening, the organizing committee carefully prepared a special whole fish feast featuring the specialties of Qianxia Lake. The feast combines the original ecological aquatic products from the lake with local farmhouse dishes. The fresh and authentic flavors allow the cyclists from afar to experience the local charm and hospitality in advance, winning full praise from all participants.
