June 12th, 2026 marked the third competition day of the China Road Cycling League (Shenyang · Kangping Station), and the grand opening ceremony was held. Subsequently, the men’s and women’s urban circuit elimination races officially started with the sound of the whistle at the People’s Government of Kangping County. The speeding wheels were in perfect harmony with the millennium-old charm of the “Hometown of the Liao and Jin Dynasties”, presenting a truly wonderful visual feast for the on – site audience.
This site’s cycling events are hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, supported by the Liaoning Provincial Sports Bureau and the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, and organized by the Shenyang Sports Bureau and the Kangping County People’s Government. They are executed by the Kangping County Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television (Kangping County Sports Bureau), Shenyang Kangyi Urban Development and Construction Co., Ltd., and Wan Hongfei(Beijing) Sports and Culture Co., Ltd.
Morning8o’clock30 minutes, Liu Kebin, the deputy mayor of Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, Wang Dong, a member of the Party group and deputy director of the Liaoning Provincial Sports Bureau, Wang Lixun, the secretary of the Kangping County Party Committee, Qi Xin, the deputy secretary of the Kangping County Party Committee and the county magistrate, Li Huanfa, a member of the Party group and deputy director of the Shenyang Sports Bureau,Han Feng, the deputy secretary – general and the director of the Competition Service Department of the Chinese Cycling Association, Wang Dawei, the director of the Standing Committee of the Kangping County People’s Congress, Xuan Weitie, the chairman of the Kangping County Political Consultative Conference, and Tang Xuezhong, the general manager of Wan Hongfei (Beijing) Sports Culture Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremony and gave the starting signal for the race.

The starting and finishing points of the event are set at the People’s Government of Kangping County. The single – lap mileage of the track is9.9 kilometers. Among them, the men’s urban circuit elimination race needs to complete9 laps, with a total mileage of89.1 kilometers; the women’s urban circuit elimination race needs to complete7 laps, with a total mileage of69.3 kilometers. The route connects the main roads in the urban area of Kangping and the lakeside blocks. Along the way, the urban landscape and the lakeside scenery complement each other. A large number of citizens stop on both sides of the track to watch the race and cheer, making the race very popular.
This event adopts the classic lap elimination system. At the end of each lap, the last rider in the group passing through the start/finish arch will be eliminated.
In the men’s urban circuit elimination race that started first, a strong competitive atmosphere pervaded from the very beginning. In the early stage of the race, after several rounds of intense struggles, a large breakaway group successfully established a leading advantage, including cyclists such as Lü Neng, Fu Zhenghao, Sun Changsheng, Zhu Yanhong, and Hu Renhao.
As we entered the last two laps, the leading group still maintained a considerable lead. Inside the group, there was an offensive and defensive battle for the race victory. Liu Yize from the Liaoning team seized the opportunity to launch an attack and successfully broke away on his own.
Finally, Liu Yize, a rider from the Liaoning team competing at home, maintained his leading advantage and won the championship of the men’s urban circuit elimination race with a time of1 hour56 minutes22 seconds. Li Yanze from the Hunan team finished 2 seconds behind and won the second place, while Lü Neng from the Shanghai team took the third place.
The subsequent women’s urban circuit elimination race was also full of excitement. In the early stage of the race, a breakaway group consisting of seven riders, including Gao Zhongyu, Zhao Yaxin, Ji Ran, Li Jiajing, and Xu Xinyue, maintained the lead. Until the middle of the race, the second chasing group successfully caught up with the leading group.
Chen Sining, the champion of this group in the previous race, managed to catch up with the leading group by riding alone. After that, although there were multiple attacks from the leading group, none of them were successful.
In the final kilometer, Liu Bing of the Liaoning team launched a sudden attack, and the main peloton closely followed. In the final bunch sprint, Chen Sining, a local rider from the Liaoning team, crossed the finish line first with an obvious advantage and won the championship of the women’s urban circuit elimination race. This will be her second consecutive victory in this event of the league. Wang Shiyu of the Hunan team followed closely to take the second place, and Chang Yue of the Yunnan team won the third place.
The intense on – court competition in the urban circuit elimination race has immersed the entire Kangping city in the passion of cycling.
June 13th. The main event of our race, the Men’s Individual Race, is coming. The race track combines urban roads and historical relics from the Liao and Jin dynasties, and passes through the Liaohe National Wetland Park in Changtu, Liaoning. This track that combines historical relics and ecological wetlands will pose a severe test to the riders’ skills, tactics, and comprehensive abilities. Let’s look forward to the riders’ performances together!
