On June 21st, a sports event that fully showcases the development achievements of Tumushuke City, the Third Division – the 2026 China Cycling and Touring Conference (Lake Series) and the Second Tumushuke Yong’an Lake Circuit Road Cycling Race, with the theme of “Cycling in the Ecological Lake City and Sharing the Splendor of the Silk Road”, successfully concluded!
This event is guided by the Chinese Cycling Association, hosted by the People’s Government of Tumushuke City, and organized by the Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism of the Third Division of Tumushuke City.
Following the successful hosting of the first Tumushuke Road Cycling Race in 2025, this event adheres to the concept of hosting a high – standard and high – specification race, creating a high – level cycling competition platform. The event is scientifically designed to balance professional competition and public participation. The competition consists of the men’s elite group, the master group, the public group, and the women’s group. It has attracted many professional cyclists from all over the country to participate in the race. A total of 563 contestants from across the country have joined the competition.
This race track is a typical lakeside cycling route. In the design, it aims to present a picture that integrates “mountains, waters, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, and deserts with modern cities”, organically combining ecological advantages with professional competition requirements. Along the way, diverse natural and cultural landscapes such as mountains, deserts, poplar forests, lakes, wetlands, farmlands, industrial buildings, and modern urban blocks are skillfully incorporated. Every kilometer allows participants to encounter unique scenery. It is particularly worth mentioning that in the section of the Yong’an Lake circuit, the track closely follows the lake shoreline. For most of the race, cyclists can enjoy the view of the vast open water at close range. With the lake breeze caressing their faces and water birds flying around, it adds a touch of natural poetry to the high – intensity competition, creating a “moving scenic line” and truly realizing the experience of “riding a bike in a painting and cycling in the scenery”.
At exactly ten o’clock in the morning, the race officially began, and the riders sped off. With each turn of the speeding wheels, their dreams were propelled one step further. Along the way, a rare drizzle made Yong’an Lake present a romantic view of misty expanse, and also provided the riders with a precious experience.
Traveling through the scenery of lakes and mountains, the riders’ wheels roll over the wet asphalt road, splashing tiny water droplets, which blend with the swaying reeds and the fleeting shadows of birds to form a flowing ecological picture. The sweat on the riders’ bodies mixes with the rain, highlighting the beauty of the integration of vitality and natural ecology.
After a fierce competition, all the awards have been decided. The champion, runner-up, and third-place finisher in the Men’s Elite Group were won by Wang Qiang, Tuer Songjiang Bulike, and Hahelixihabudeli respectively; the champion, runner-up, and third-place finisher in the Men’s Master Group were captured by Caiwujiafu, Wang Feng, and Dong Fangshuo respectively; the champion, runner-up, and third-place finisher in the Women’s Group were claimed by Gao Yanjiao, Zhao Liping, and Yin Xiaoqin; the top three in the Men’s Public Group were Wang Renxian, Zhu Haiyue, and Hu Xin.
In the team competition, the champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers of the men’s elite group team race are BOLLARD Team, Yinbeisi Team, and Xinjiang Xidesheng Team respectively; the champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers of the women’s group team race are Ruibao Baikewu Yusu Team, JAVA – JIANKUN Team, and Xinjiang Baikewu Women’s Team respectively. The top three teams in the men’s mass group team race are Jingchuang – Huanyili Sports Team, Kuche Merida Team, and Giant Alar Chase the Wind Team 1.
The entire event lasts for three days from the 19th to the 21st, with the 21st being the official competition. To highlight the new integrated experience of “sports + tourism + consumption”, the event organizers launched a series of pre – event warm – up activities from June 19th to 20th. There was a themed carnival of “Indulge in the Joy of Tumuji in the Dragon Boat Festival and Encounter the Biking Moment”, featuring interesting events such as “Kids’ Biking” and slow – bike riding. On June 20th, a环湖积分赛 (I’m not sure of the exact English term for this, maybe “Circular Lake Points Race”) for the competitive group was held.
This event adopted an all-media three-dimensional communication model. The race on that day was simultaneously live-streamed on 18 platforms, including CCTV Video, Xinhua Net, Bingtuan Daily, Bingtuan Culture and Tourism, Xinjiang Daily / Shiliuyun, Tianshan Net, Hongshanyan App, Douyin, and Xiaohongshu, attracting over 19 million people to watch simultaneously. At the same time, the whole race was supported by offline media channels and photo live-streaming to create a full-scale publicity effect.
Throughout the entire event, large screens at 89 boarding gates of Tianshan International Airport and 10,060 building TVs in five major tourist cities across Xinjiang (Urumqi, Kashgar, Yining, Korla, and Changji) were also used to simultaneously promote the pre – event warm – up, registration, and the cultural and tourism resources of Tumushuke. This significantly enhanced the city’s popularity and reputation, allowing the charm of Tumushuke to reach the whole country.
