On May 25th, the sixth stage of the 18th China Xinjiang International Road Cycling Race around Sayram Lake kicked off. This stage covers a total distance of 90 kilometers, circling around Sayram Lake. The terrain is mainly flat with small undulations, and there is an intermediate sprint point at the 41 – kilometer mark of the race.

Affected by the high-intensity Queen stage the previous day and with the charming lakeside scenery, the race started at a steady pace, and there were no obvious offensive moves from the peloton at the beginning.

When the race reached over 40 kilometers, the competition in the leading group suddenly heated up, with multiple rounds of tug – of – war battles taking place one after another. The second, third, and fourth – placed riders on the general classification list launched breakaway attacks one after another. They are Hahelixi, a rider from the Jingchuang – Power Box – SEKA United Team, ULADZISLAU YARASH, a rider from the Phoenix Finisher – Jichi Team, and Mukhin Mikhail, a rider from the Senruimeng Wanjia Sports REEBOW Team respectively.

Huang Shihai, a rider from the Wenquan County Wild Yak Cycling Team wearing the yellow jersey, chased alone. He made several efforts to catch up with the breakaway group. After several back – and – forth struggles, the three breakaway riders successfully widened the gap and got rid of the main peloton.

After that, the three breakaway riders cooperated tacitly and took turns leading the way, steadily maintaining their advantage all the way towards the finish line. Huang Shihai joined forces with Yang Qianbin from the AVENGER Wufushi Team and Zhang Haodong from the Hubei Team to form a chasing group. It wasn’t until just before the finish line that the chasing group was caught up by the main peloton.

The champion of the final stage was won by Hahelixi from the Jingchuang – Power Box – SEKA United Team. The runner – up was Mukhin Mikhail from the Senruimeng Wanjia Sports Ruibao Team, and the third – place finisher was ULADZISLAU YARASH from the Phoenix Fenice – Jichi Team. The fourth, fifth, and sixth places went to Yang Qianbin from the AVENGER (Avenger) Wufushi Team, Zhang Haodong from the Hubei Provincial Team, and Huang Shihai from the Wenquan County Wild Yak Team respectively.
